Loads and loads of music and some other mad stuff. Jungle/dubstep/hiphop on a more esoteric vibe

A suitably off-beam bobcast debut. A mix of unconnected sounds and music. And a nice way to pass a spare 40 minutes
Bob was banned from our forum due to some personal shite that isn’t important, and he was allowed back on if he made a bobcast, so lets hope that this is the first of many. I’m listening to it right now and it is suitably off key. Songs Bob likes, mixed with some wierd sounds he made by accident trying to work out how to make a show
So anyways, have a listen, it’s a mix of all sorts of stuff, i don’t know what to make of it to be honest
Tracks by
bathory
limewax
dead raven choir
atrax morgue
sunn
bach
schoenberg

enjoy!!!

Cos I haven’t done a one for a while, here is a live mix of Jungle what I did in Ableton yesterday. It’s not great cos I’m still learning how to use the beatmatching and 3 way mixing. But it’s a nice 50 minute work out, mostly mellow ragga jungle bizzness. Nowt special tho
Radio XXV Coming soon!!!!

These are class, many many more here
It is probably all over the internet already, I love it when someone comes up with a cool idea that is easy to do
This is ace. RZA talking about the kung fu samples he has used on some Wu-Tang tracks, as well as audio samples. Also a full interview with him talking about the films he’s scored and a bunch of other stuff.

“En garde, I’ll let you try my Wu-Tang style.“

Both of these guys are amazing producers, and I’m not just saying that….I don’t think I’ve heard a track by either of them that I didn’t like. Both of them are making incredible music although in totally different directions, and having followed both of them for a couple of years now on Illphabetik it’s really interesting to see the directions that they are taking.
I haven’t listened to them yet, they are downloading now, but I am 99% sure that they will be worth checking out, specially since they are free
fuck Radiohead

Another show, almost amazingly the exact same length as the last one. How do we do it? There is dub, beepy stuff, blues, violins aplenty, headmelting hardcore and other things in this second succesive 46 minute edition of the internet’s leading podcast by a man with a pseudonym that is half fish half colour.

Some of the best flash games I’ve played for a while. Weird sort of animated logic puzzles, but the reason they are good is because they are so mellow to look at. Quite annoying tho, because it makes getting a fairly simple sequence very difficult……
Probably really easy for brainy types, but I’ve been stuck on the GrowCube for hours when I’m meant to be packing

Exciting day for JAXA! Japanese robots arrived on the moon for the first time today. Like most Japanese robots that make great um things, the lunar probe has a woman’s name Selene (short for Selenological Engineering Explorer). It was launched on September 14, four years behind schedule, but safely arrived at its destination, where it will hang out for a year investigating the evolution of the moon. It’s the largest lunar mission since Apollo. More here.
No pictures though
Sir Bristle KRS has started his radio shows after a long sabbatical
Unfortunately he is not contributing to TCTE at the moment, long story etc but the radio shows are back. Two new ones in the last week, and he says that the Axis of Foley will be back next week
First one is a mix of 90s rave tunes, with a bootleggy flava
In his own words

It’s just an hourlong ravey bootleg mix, with no talky bits as I have a cold and when I speak my ears ring, and not in a nice way.
Anyway, as ever, all the good bits are due to the artists used, all the crappy bits are down to me and my hamfisting of Audacity
