If you’ve been wondering where the Hectic City podcasts by Eric Kleptone (from, erm, The Kleptones - them of the very, very excellent ‘24 Hours’ bastard pop concept double album and much more besides) have disappeared to, well, never fear, Eric blogged recently to explain that
a few unavoidable circumstances got in the way, causing them to fall by the wayside - Bugger. They will be back though, just a little more intermittent than we originally planned.
However, in the meantime, Eric’s been involved with the rather interesting sounding local Brighton radio (yes! Like, proper, airwaves-aerials-and-masts real radio!!!) station Radio Reverb 97.2FM, hosting a music-&-talking-about-the-music show called Eric & Jim’s Look-In, alongside Jim from All Time Top 100.
Anyhow, it’s a great mix of flavours, not all four-to-the-floor stuff by any means, and they manage to make Brighton sound, well, interesting rather than poncey and shit - and now it’s available as a podcast, which is handy, because I want to hear it and I don’t want to live in Sussex.
So go check it out! Links to the blog and the subscription feed below, and if I’ve managed to connect the cables correctly, you should be able to listen to the latest show below too…
